GUT-FRIENDLY CACAO SALTED CARAMEL TRUFFLES (GLUTEN FREE, RAW VEGAN, REFINED SUGAR FREE)

Umami tasting chocolate truffles filled with healthy enzymes and prebiotic and probiotics? That is a dream come true!

Tasty treats are possible if you take the time to make them using some wholefoods magic!

I have made using some bliss balls using miso and had really positive response and here is a cacao version of it!

In Japanese cuisine, miso is a protein-rich paste adds the fifth taste, known as ‘umami’, to all sorts of dishes including soups/broths, salad dressings, vegetables, stews, glazes, and marinades.

I love having them in my savoury meals in place of salt and I thought - why not try having it into my desserts to reap its benefits even more?

Miso is rich in essential minerals and a good source of various B vitamins, vitamins E, K and folic acid. As a fermented food, miso provides the gut with beneficial bacteria that help us to stay healthy, vibrant and happy; good gut health is known to be linked to our overall mental and physical wellness.

Do take note to have miso in moderation as some brands can be high in salt. You should be consuming not more than 6g a day.

For our nut crunch, almonds are used but you can also use other nuts like pistachios or cashews!

I hope you'll enjoy these whenever you are as they are also good to store for up to 1 week in airtight container in the fridge!
