Yes. Our cakes are not just vegetarian and vegan.
They do not contain artificial colourings, preservatives, additives, cholesterol, shortening or vegan butter. This is why they have a shorter shelf life compared to commercial cakes.
Although we are at a huge disadvantage here, we stand by what we believe – sourcing and creating handcrafted quality desserts from Wholefoods is best for you!
2) HOW DOES YOUR $5.50 FLEXI DELIVERY WORK?
• If you are flexible and can afford to wait/have someone to receive the goodies at home, the flexi delivery option will be best for you!
• Has bigger delivery time window (example: 10am-6pm) where we deliver to the most efficient route to keep it affordable at $5.50 for purchases $60 and above.
We will send a more specific timeframe (2 hour timeframe) the night before when we collate our orders and figure out the delivery route.

Please leave a huge cooler bag with ice for us to place our goodies inside (taking a photo of it so we know where to put. Or if you have kind neighbours, you can request for them to be left with them.
We also offer free delivery for orders above $100 (limited time only!). For this option, we try to accommodate to your timeframe selected, but will time slots will subject to availability on weekends/peak timings.

3) HOW DO I STORE MY CAKE/TREATS?
For our Flourless Cacao Wholefoods Fudge Cake, they can be stored airtight for up to 3 days in fridge and 2 weeks airtight in the freezer. To enjoy, take them out for 15 minutes for the dark chocolate ganache to soften a little.
For the best fudgey and crusty texture, cut and reheat the base cake in the oven for 10-15 minutes at 170 degrees Celsius.
For our Cookies, it is best to store in an airtight jar in the fridge and consume within 2 weeks from collection date.
For our Wholefoods cakes with our Raw Vegan Cashew Wholefoods Frosting, they are delicate and need to be refrigerated within 1 hour of pick up. Keep them up to 3 days in the fridge, or freeze them up to 2 weeks airtight.
For transportation of our cakes, we do not recommend putting them in the boot of your car as it is hot and unstable. Please keep this in mind when you pick up your cake. Hold them when your hands are free.
4) WHAT IS YOUR LEAD TIME FOR YOUR CAKES?
We typically take pre-orders at least 2-3 days in advance.
If you’d like your cake for the weekend, the cut off date for each week is Wed 5pm for weekend orders (Fri-Sun) and Sunday 10pm for Tuesday-Thursday. Please preorder before this deadline to Ensure that we can make your cake in time, especially for our flexi-time delivery slots as we have limited slots available.
If our $5.50 delivery slot listed for that week has been deleted/unavailable upon check out page, it means that we are fully booked.
You can preorder up to 3 months in advance.
Need a last min cake?
We may have certain cakes/flavours available on short notice for the next day, but please WhatsApp 96353003 to double check! We will reply you during our Business hours between 10am-6pm.
Pre-ordering helps to avoid food wastage, which is a huge problem in Singapore's food industry.
Each year, around 800,000 tonnes of food waste are generated in Singapore. About half of this amount is generated by the food and retail industry.
Globally, 1/3 of food produced for consumption is wasted. If food waste were a country, it would be the third largest emitter of greenhouse gases, behind the US and China!
With such massive amounts of waste generated, and we truly would try our best to minimise it.
5) WHAT IS THE WEIGHT OF YOUR CAKES?
Did you know that all cakes weigh differently for the exact same size?
So instead of weighing, we measure our cake sizes based on serving size. Our size guide is designed for small after-meal estimate serving sizes.
We have 2 available sizes: The 6” whole cake serves up 6-8 generous slices, while the 8" whole cake serves up to 15-20 slices.
Please refer to our cutting guide for how to cut our cakes to be able to serve your guests.
6) WHY DON’T YOU PROVIDE BAGS OR KNIVES FOR YOUR CAKES?
Similar reason to the above question.
We love to minimise waste, including single-use plastics like plastic bags and knives. Please be kinder and more understanding to save our Mother Earth :)
Join us in our efforts to go green and Bring Your Own Bags (7x7" in base for 6" cakes & 10x10" in base for 8" cakes) to store your cakes/treats!
6) WHERE IS YOUR PICK-UP COLLECTION?
We are baking at our own SFA approved facility in Kovan. However, we may not be there all the time. We will contact you via message on the collection details.
We will not be responsible for any damages, once picked up from us.
We would recommend you to travel by car/cab and store the cake in a fridge within 2 hours for baked cakes, and 45 minutes for our raw vegan cashew frosting cakes (like Double Matcha Cake) which have a melting point of 30 degrees.

7) DO YOU DO TIME-SPECIFIC DELIVERIES?
Yes! Due to COVID, Delivery will be at a promotional rate of $18 right now (usual price $25) in most places and additional charges apply for Sentosa, Tuas and Jurong for 2 hour timeframe.

8) HOW DO I PAY?
We cannot confirm your order until a 100% payment is made. If the event is 3 months ahead, you can make a 50% deposit and remaining amount will need to be paid at least 14 days before the event date.
There will be no cancellations or refunds will be made once you have placed an order. However, you could switch to other products of the same value, if you change your mind.
9) ARE YOU 100% ALLERGEN-FREE?
At The Clean Addicts, we try our best to note your allergies and sensitivity to certain foods.
Our menu contains both gluten-free and non gluten-free products, and they will NOT be suitable for people with Celiac disease.
Our products are crafted in an exclusive SFA-approved facility that handles NO animal products *no dairy, butter, honey and other animal by-products).
However, we still handles oats and nuts including Peanuts. Wheat - only for our Speculoos cake topping.
We try our best to prevent cross-contamination by storing them separately and using separate utensils, but cannot 100% guarantee that they are not without them as contamination can still happen by air.
Please enquire with us with alternatives to certain ingredients so we can make your dream allergen-free cake and kindly reiterate your allergy concerns via “Note” upon checkout so that we will take extra care.
Most of all, please use your best judgment.
10) WHY DO YOU CHOOSE TO USE UNREFINED SUGARS?
Diabetes is a major problem here in Singapore. Close to 10% of Singaporeans have diabetes.
In addition to the over 400,000 people living with the disease, the Ministry of Health believes that about a third of diabetics don’t know they are ill. By 2050, the number of those with diabetes is expected to hit 1 million. This is a global epidemic.
We use unrefined sugars like dates and unrefined cane sugar because they do not spike blood sugar levels like how refined sugars do.
Of course, everything has to be consumed in moderation. You wouldn’t exceed the recommended amount per day if you watch your portion size.
We also do a lot of testing in the kitchen to ensure that our bakes contain minimal sugar, including fruit sugars.
Once you know how much bakeries add behind-the-scenes to make them tasty, you’d lay off them. We've never sold cakes made with copious amounts of icing sugar, processed butter or shortening!
11) ARE YOUR BAKES HALAL?
We are not a halal-certified bakery but our products do not contain lard, gelatin, or any kind of animal products. Some of our cakes contain alcohol from vanilla extract but we can leave them out when requested.
*Update: we have cut out vanilla extract which hasn't compromised on taste so all our bakes are alcohol free!
12) DO YOU HAVE READY-MADE CAKES TO BE PICKED UP ON SAME DAY?
Unfortunately no. All treats are made to order to avoid food waste, unless we have extras on hand that we will publicise on our socials! Or check with us on WA - text only.
